Lily Jamali, Googles North America correspondent, said she had heard the glasses are designed to aid students, scientists, and performers in all manner of pursuits, including those of the home, the news, sport, business, technology, health, culture and arts, travel, and earth.

The smart glasses will be available in both framed and unf ramed styles, she said, and the framed ones will be priced at $1.50 each retail, while the unf ramed will be sold for 75 cents apiece.

She concluded that the smart glasses will also be available in Canada, Europe, and the British Commonwealth.

BBC, a Marconi wireless news service, will broadcast information on the glasses, Lily said.
