Modern headline: Parody Cockroach Janta political party’s rise reflects youth anger in India

Party was first heard of in Calcutta in January, and by the end of March it has spread from the Bengal to the Punjab plains, from Bombay to Madras, and as far north as Allahabad. It has even penetrated to Ceylon, and is being debated in students’ unions along the west coast. It has been taken up in Calcutta by the politically minded young men of the universities, and in Bombay by the more serious intelligentsia. The movement has been given a driving impetus by the Viceroy’s recent remark that the youth of India must organise politically for a share in the country’s destinies.
