Birth was announced yesterday to Mr and Mrs Nicola Roberts of a daughter. The newcomer, weighing eight pounds, has been christened Joan Elizabeth. Mrs Roberts was Miss Elizabeth Jones before her marriage. The Robertses live at 42 High Street, Kensington. Mr Roberts is an engineer in the employ of Messrs Thomas Smith and Company, and Mrs Roberts has been acting as a typist. The family circle now numbers three. Congratulations were showered upon the parents yesterday, and the health of the little Joan Elizabeth was drunk at family dinner last night. The Robertses are proud of their first-born, and hope she will grow up to be a credit to them. Mr and Mrs Roberts were married in 1927, and have hitherto had no family.
