Modern headline: Man finds poop on his roof, and if that wasn't bad enough, it led to a mountain lion encounter

Last night, as Mr Thomas Atkins was walking home to his residence in Crescent Road, Clapham, he observed a small, foreign-looking animal squatting on his roof. Mr Atkins summoned the police, and the waif was captured. It proved to be a young mountain lion, and was conveyed to the Zoo, where it now remains. The mountain lion, which was last night captured on the roof of a house in Crescent Road, Clapham, has been presented to the Zoological Society, and may now be seen in the Gardens in Regent’s Park. The species is rare in Europe, and the present specimen is a male, not more than a twelvemonth old. Mountain lions inhabit the Rocky Mountains of North America, from Mexico to the fur countries, and are common in California. They feed on deer and other ruminants, and also on birds, and are destructive to sheep. The length of the full-grown animal is about five feet, exclusive of the tail, which measures two feet. The colour is a tawny yellow, marked with black.
