A menu for breakfast, dinner, and supper on ordinary days is now provided by the BBC, and, in addition, fare is supplied for special occasions — birthdays, Christmastide, and so forth. The fare is broadcast from 9.30 to 10 every morning, except Sunday, from five stations in Great Britain, and listeners-in can choose from it what they please. The items are chosen with a view to suit all palates, and include porridge and milk, bacon and eggs, fish, toast and butter, tea, coffee, and cocoa; while on special days there are special dishes, such as curried rabbit for supper on Fridays, and roast goose at Christmas.
